THE HYMN

GUIDE me, O thou great Redeemer,

pilgrim through this barren land;

I am weak, but thou art mighty;

hold me with thy powerful hand:

Bread of heaven,

feed me till I want no more.

Open now the crystal fountain

whence the healing stream doth flow;

let the fiery cloudy pillar

lead me all my journey through:

strong Deliverer,

be thou still my strength and shield.

When I tread the verge of Jordan,

bid my anxious fears subside;

Death of death, and hell's Destruction,

land me safe on Canaan's side:

songs of praises

I will ever give to thee.

THE WELCOME AND INTRODUCTION

DEARLY beloved, we are gathered here in the sight of God and in the face of this congregation, to join together this man and this woman in holy matrimony; which is an honourable estate, instituted of God himself, signifying unto us the mystical union that is betwixt Christ and his Church; which holy estate Christ adorned and beautified with his presence, and first miracle that he wrought, in Cana of Galilee, and is commended in Holy Writ to be honourable among all men; and therefore is not by any to be enterprised, nor taken in hand, unadvisedly, lightly, or wantonly; but reverently, discreetly, soberly, and in the fear of God, duly considering the causes for which matrimony was ordained.

First, it was ordained for the increase of mankind according to the will of God, and that children might be brought up in the fear and nurture of the Lord, and to the praise of his holy name.

Secondly, it was ordained in order that the natural instincts and affections, implanted by God, should be hallowed and directed aright; that those who are called of God to this holy estate, should continue therein in pureness of living.

Thirdly, it was ordained for the mutual society, help, and comfort, that the one ought to have of the other, both in prosperity and adversity.

Into which holy estate these two persons present come now to be joined.

Therefore if any man can shew any just cause why they may not lawfully be joined together, let him now speak, or else hereafter for ever hold his peace.

The Archbishop of Canterbury says to Prince William and Catherine:

I REQUIRE and charge you both, as ye will answer at the dreadful day of judgement when the secrets of all hearts shall be disclosed, that if either of you know any impediment, why ye may not be lawfully joined together in matrimony, ye do now confess it. For be ye well assured, that so many as are coupled together otherwise than God's word doth allow are not joined together by God; neither is their matrimony lawful.

THE MARRIAGE

Royal wedding: Kate Middleton follows in footsteps of Princess Diana and will not vow to 'obey'

The Archbishop says to Prince William:

WILLIAM Arthur Philip Louis, wilt thou have this woman to thy wedded wife, to live together according to God's law in the holy estate of matrimony? Wilt thou love her, comfort her, honour and keep her, in sickness and in health; and, forsaking all other, keep thee only unto her, so long as ye both shall live?

He answers:

I will.

The Archbishop says to Catherine:

CATHERINE Elizabeth, wilt thou have this man to thy wedded husband, to live together according to God's law in the holy estate of matrimony? Wilt thou love him, comfort him, honour and keep him, in sickness and in health; and, forsaking all other, keep thee only unto him, so long as ye both shall live?

She answers:

I will.

The Archbishop continues:

Who giveth this woman to be married to this man?

The Archbishop receives Catherine from her father's hand. Taking Catherine's right hand, Prince William says after the Archbishop:

I, WILLIAM Arthur Philip Louis, take thee, Catherine Elizabeth to my wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse: for richer, for poorer; in sickness and in health; to love and to cherish, till death us do part, according to God's holy law; and thereto I give thee my troth.

They loose hands. Catherine, taking Prince William by his right hand, says after the Archbishop:

I, CATHERINE Elizabeth, take thee, William Arthur Philip Louis, to my wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse: for richer, for poorer; in sickness and in health; to love and to cherish, till death us do part, according to God's holy law; and thereto I give thee my troth.

They loose hands. The Archbishop blesses the ring:

BLESS, O Lord, this ring, and grant that he who gives it and she who shall wear it may remain faithful to each other, and abide in thy peace and favour, and live together in love until their lives' end. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prince William takes the ring and places it upon the fourth finger of Catherine's left hand. Prince William says after the Archbishop:

WITH this ring I thee wed; with my body I thee honour; and all my worldly goods with thee I share: in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.

The Congregation remains standing as the Couple kneels. The Archbishop says:

Let us pray.

O ETERNAL God, Creator and Preserver of all mankind, giver of all spiritual grace, the author of everlasting life: send thy blessing upon these thy servants, this man and this woman, whom we bless in thy name; that, living faithfully together, they may surely perform and keep the vow and covenant betwixt them made, whereof this ring given and received is a token and pledge; and may ever remain in perfect love and peace together, and live according to thy laws; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Archbishop joins their right hands together and says:

Those whom God hath joined together let no man put asunder.

The Archbishop addresses the Congregation:

FORASMUCH as William and Catherine have consented together in holy wedlock, and have witnessed the same before God and this company, and thereto have given and pledged their troth either to other, and have declared the same by giving and receiving of a ring, and by joining of hands; I pronounce that they be man and wife together, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.

The Archbishop blesses the Couple:

GOD the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Ghost, bless, preserve, and keep you; the Lord mercifully with his favour look upon you; and so fill you with all spiritual benediction and grace, that ye may so live together in this life, that in the world to come ye may have life everlasting. Amen.

All sing

THE HYMN

LOVE divine, all loves excelling,

joy of heaven, to earth come down,

fix in us thy humble dwelling,

all thy faithful mercies crown.

Jesu, thou art all compassion,

pure unbounded love thou art;

visit us with thy salvation,

enter every trembling heart.

Come, almighty to deliver,

let us all thy life receive;

suddenly return, and never,

never more thy temples leave.

Thee we would be always blessing,

serve thee as thy hosts above,

pray, and praise thee, without ceasing,

glory in thy perfect love.

Finish then thy new creation,

pure and spotless let us be;

let us see thy great salvation,

perfectly restored in thee,

changed from glory into glory,

till in heaven we take our place,

till we cast our crowns before thee,

lost in wonder, love, and praise!

THE LESSON

Royal wedding: Kate Middleton's brother will give only reading

I APPEAL to you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God - what is good and acceptable and perfect. Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good; love one another with mutual affection; outdo one another in showing honour. Do not lag in zeal, be ardent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints; extend hospitality to strangers. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly; do not claim to be wiser than you are. Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all. If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.

Romans 12: 1-2, 9-18

All remain seated. The Choirs sing

THE ANTHEM

THIS is the day which the Lord hath made: we will rejoice and be glad in it.

O praise the Lord of heaven: praise him in the height.

Praise him, all ye angels of his: praise him, all his host.

Praise him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars and light.

Let them praise the name of the Lord.

For he shall give his angels charge over thee: to keep thee in all thy ways.

The Lord himself is thy keeper: the Lord is thy defence upon thy right hand;

so that the sun shall not burn thee by day: neither the moon by night.

The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: yea, it is even he that shall keep thy soul.

The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in: from this time forth for evermore.

He shall defend thee under his wings.

Be strong, and he shall comfort thine heart, and put thou thy trust in the Lord.

THE MOTET

UBI caritas et amor, Deus ibi est. Congregavit nos in unum Christi amor. Exsultemus et in ipso jucundemur. Timeamus et amemus Deum vivum. Et ex corde diligamus nos sincero. Amen.

Wherever charity and love are to be found, God is there. The love of Christ has brought us together as one. Let us rejoice and be glad in him. Let us fear and love the living God; and let us love one another with sincerity in our heart. Amen.

Paul Mealor (b 1975)

after 1 John 4

The Reverend Michael Macey, Minor Canon and Precentor, says

THE PRAYERS

Let us pray.

All kneel or remain seated.

Lord, have mercy upon us.

Christ, have mercy upon us.

Lord, have mercy upon us.

OUR Father, which art in heaven,

hallowed be thy name;

thy kingdom come; thy will be done,

in earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive them that trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation;

but deliver us from evil. Amen.

O Lord, save thy servant and thy handmaid;

who put their trust in thee.

O Lord, send them help from thy holy place;

and evermore defend them.

Be unto them a tower of strength;

from the face of their enemy.

O Lord, hear our prayer;

and let our cry come unto thee.

The Dean and the Archbishop say:

O GOD of our fathers, bless these thy servants, and sow the seed of eternal life in their hearts; that whatsoever in thy holy word they shall profitably learn, they may in deed fulfil the same; that so, obeying thy will, and alway being in safety under thy protection, they may abide in thy love unto their lives' end; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

O MERCIFUL Lord and heavenly Father, by whose gracious gift mankind is increased; bestow, we beseech thee, upon these two persons the heritage and gift of children; and grant that they may see their children christianly and virtuously brought up, to thy praise and honour; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

O GOD, who hast taught us that it should never be lawful to put asunder those whom thou by matrimony hadst made one, and hast consecrated the state of matrimony to such an excellent mystery, that in it is signified and represented the spiritual marriage and unity betwixt Christ and his Church: look mercifully upon these thy servants, that both this man may love his wife, according to thy word (as Christ did love his spouse the Church, who gave himself for it, loving and cherishing it even as his own flesh), and also that this woman may be loving and amiable, and faithful to her husband, and in all quietness, sobriety, and peace, be a follower of holy and godly matrons. O Lord, bless them both, and grant them to inherit thy everlasting kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

ALMIGHTY God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, pour upon you the riches of his grace, sanctify and bless you, that ye may please him both in body and soul, and live together in holy love unto your lives' end. Amen.

All stand to sing

THE HYMN

walk upon England's mountains green?

And was the holy Lamb of God

on England's pleasant pastures seen?

And did the countenance divine

shine forth upon our clouded hills?

And was Jerusalem builded here

Bring me my bow of burning gold!

Bring me my arrows of desire!

Bring me my spear! O clouds, unfold!

Bring me my chariot of fire!

I will not cease from mental fight,

nor shall my sword sleep in my hand,

till we have built Jerusalem

in England's green and pleasant land.

THE BLESSING

Let us pray.

O ALMIGHTY Lord, and everlasting God, vouchsafe, we beseech thee, to direct, sanctify, and govern both our hearts and bodies, in the ways of thy laws, and in the works of thy commandments; that through thy most mighty protection, both here and ever, we may be preserved in body and soul; through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The Procession of the Clergy moves to the Great West Door.

BLEST pair of Sirens, pledges of heaven's joy,

sphere-born harmonious sisters, Voice and Verse,

wed your divine sounds, and mixed power employ

dead things with inbreathed sense able to pierce;

and to our high-raised phantasy present

that undisturbed song of pure concent,

aye sung before the sapphire-coloured throne

to him that sits thereon,

with saintly shout, and solemn jubilee,

where the bright Seraphim in burning row

their loud uplifted angel-trumpets blow,

and the cherubic host in thousand quires

touch their immortal harps of golden wires,

with those just spirits that wear victorious palms,

hymns devout and holy psalms

singing everlastingly:

That we on earth with undiscording voice

may rightly answer that melodious noise;

as once we did, till disproportioned sin

jarred against nature's chime, and with harsh din

broke the fair music that all creatures made

to their great Lord, whose love their motion swayed

in perfect diapason, whilst they stood

in first obedience, and their state of good.

O may we soon again renew that song,

and keep in tune with heaven, till God ere long

to his celestial concert us unite,

to live with him, and sing in endless morn of light.

Kate Middleton waves to the crowds outside the Goring Hotel ahead of royal wedding - pictures

Kate Middleton (Pic:PA) A beaming Kate Middleton waves to the crowds

Kate Middleton waved to the crowds outside The Goring hotel as she made what was expected to be her final appearance before tomorrow's wedding.

She was greeted by hotel owner Jeremy Goring as she stepped from a black Jaguar outside the entrance at 5.45pm.

Kate Middleton (Pic:Getty Images) Kate will spend the night at the Goring Hotel with her parents and sister Pippa

Dressed in a black and white spotted dress, she was accompanied by sister Pippa and mother Carole.

They were welcomed by a large crowd of enthusiasts who had waited outside the central London hotel all day for a glimpse of the bride-to-be.

The hotel had been the scene of frenetic activity all day as final preparations were made for Miss Middleton's arrival.

She is staying at the five-star Belgravia establishment, on Beeston Place, with her sister, brother James, her mother, and father Michael the night before she marries Prince William.

To ensure no-one catches a glimpse of her in her wedding dress before she arrives at Westminster Abbey tomorrow, a canopy has been erected over the front of the hotel.

It covers even the pavement outside to make sure she can enter the Rolls-Royce Phantom VI in which she will travel to the abbey with her father without any photographs being taken of her dress.

Beeston Place was closed to members of the public at 8am today. Large black bollards have been placed at either end of the road to prevent vehicles getting through without permission.

There has been a large police presence at the hotel during the day, with armed officers patrolling outside and sniffer dogs being led into the building.

Kate Middleton arrives at the Goring Hotel (Pic:PA) The bride-to-be was greeted with cheers as she stepped out of her car

Gardeners also worked on the front of the hotel, watering plants and tweaking the foliage outside.

Bay trees were seen being delivered to the hotel, as well as several large wooden and cardboard boxes.

The short street near Victoria station has become a focus for the world's media and royal fans alike.

Olivia Wofford, 22, and her mother Christine, 58, had travelled from Michigan, in the United States, to be in London for the royal wedding. They brought their own W and K signs, adorned with American flags, to The Goring.

Mrs Wofford, an accountant, said: "I've been planning this since William was born.

"I've been following the royals for years but couldn't make it to Diana's wedding, which is when I decided to come to her son's instead."

Kate Middleton arrives at the Goring Hotel (Pic:PA) Kate spent several minutes talking to hotel owner Jeremy Goring

Mr and Mrs Middleton were inside The Goring hotel and other guests had also started to arrive.

The waiting crowds cheered when chefs brought out afternoon tea for them. Treats including lavender cupcakes, carrot cake and sandwiches were delivered, with the help of waitresses.

Cups of coffee and tea were also handed round.

Royal wedding sees police raids brought forward

A Labour backbencher accused police of "disproportionate" action ahead of the royal wedding today after a string of squats were raided on the eve of the big day.

Properties in the Hackney, Camberwell and Heathrow areas of London were swooped on at dawn as part of investigations into disturbances at the student protests last year and recent TUC march, police sources said.

But Labour backbencher John McDonnell raised a point of order in the Commons to question the timing of the incidents, saying they appeared to be "some form of pre-emptive strike before the royal wedding".

He added: "I believe this disproportionate use of force is unacceptable and I would urge that a minister comes to this House from the Home Office to explain what is exactly happening today, what are the grounds for that action and also to contact the Metropolitan Police Commissioner to explain that many of us feel that this is disproportionate and no way to celebrate this joyous wedding."

Police had been expected to carry out a number of arrests ahead of the most expensive and high-profile security operation in a generation for Scotland Yard.

Joe Rake, 20, a Transition Heathrow campaigner who lives at one of the squats in Sipson, said he woke up to 40 officers raiding the property at dawn.

"They asked us if we had been involved in the TUC protests," he said.

"It seems obvious to us that they thought we were going to do something at the wedding tomorrow.

"They searched through our things but took nothing away and made no arrests."

Addresses on Camberwell Road, south London, and Lower Clapton Road, east London, were also targeted by raids.

Several people were understood to have been arrested in Camberwell on suspicion of stealing electricity.

The Heathrow raid was carried out in Mr McDonnell's constituency.

He told the Commons one of his constituents was handcuffed before officers "forcibly detained another group of them in a building on the site".

"It appears that raids like this are going on across London at the moment as some form of pre-emptive strike before the royal wedding," he said.

More than 5,000 officers will make up a multimillion-pound ring of steel tomorrow as the world's attentions focus on London.

Snipers will take to rooftops and undercover officers will mingle among the crowds as part of a massive covert and overt operation to avoid an atrocity.

Security against potential threats from al Qaida-inspired extremists, dissident Irish republican terrorists, anarchists and even lone stalkers is being balanced with the desire to let onlookers enjoy the day of pageantry.

Around 70 people are now banned from the City of Westminster as part of their bail conditions after being arrested or charged over various previous alleged disorder offences.

But with up to 80 VIPs requiring personal protection, no intelligence has suggested police need to use anti-terror powers as hundreds of thousands arrive in the capital for the event.

Police have been scouring London for explosives and hidden weapons in recent days, inspecting drains, lamp-posts and traffic lights in Westminster.

In total, three protest groups formally declared intentions to cause disruption but Muslims Against Crusades announced yesterday they had abandoned plans amid fears that they could become a target.

The English Defence League is now thought unlikely to be planning any action.

Prince William and his bride-to-be, Kate Middleton, expressed their gratitude for the efforts of the police after Assistant Commissioner Lynne Owens delivered a firm message to potential trouble makers.

The officer, leading the security operation, said: "We have to be clear that anyone intending to come to London on the day of the royal wedding to commit criminal acts ... we will act quickly, robustly and decisively so that it's a happy event for everybody else who intends to be there.

"What we are hoping for the royal wedding is a fantastic day of ceremony and pageantry.

"Of course our policing strategy will take into account the need to protect the integrity of the occasion and to deal with any possible incidence that may occur in a quick and decisive manner."

With hundreds of millions watching around the world, tensions are running high, with senior officers keen to avoid another embarrassing episode like the one which saw protesters attack a car carrying the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall last December.

And police will be taking no chances. During the Pope's visit last September, six cleaners were arrested by counter-terrorism officers and later released without charge amid reports that they had been overheard making a joke in a canteen.

Scotland Yard said later that the raids "are not specifically related to the royal wedding but have been brought forward ahead of the event".

The three warrants were carried out as part of an "intelligence-led" operation as part of "ongoing proactive work to tackle suspected criminality", a statement said.

It added: "Nineteen people were arrested for abstracting electricity at Camberwell Road.

"One person was arrested at the address in Hackney in connection with the disorder following the TUC march.

"There were no arrests at the address in Sipson."

Those arrested remained in custody this afternoon.

About 40 officers raided a string of squats on Camberwell Road in south London.

A man affiliated with the squats said the suspicion was that the raids were linked to the royal wedding.

He said the people living there ran a bicycle workshop for the community, were not political and had no view on the wedding.

He said: "This is a social centre and we have no political agenda.

"The feeling is that this is to do with security around the royal wedding, but the officers are not admitting to that. They have warrants for stolen goods.

"We've made it well known we don't have a political agenda.

"If they had just come and talked to us we could have agreed to close our doors over the weekend.

"We have no thoughts about the royal wedding at all."

Chief Inspector Simon Turner, of the Territorial Support Group, said the raids were carried out under Section 26 Theft Act warrants.

He said: "A number of people have been arrested and we are going to conduct a search shortly.

"This isn't linked to the royal wedding."

Royal wedding: Prince William and Kate Middleton 'blocking out the terror' of global audience

Kate Middleton and Prince William (Pic:Getty Images) Kate Middleton and Prince William (Pic:Getty Images)

The journalist entrusted with conducting Prince William and Kate Middleton's official engagement interview today said the pair were attempting to "block out the terror of having two billion people" watching them tomorrow.

Tom Bradby, ITN political editor and William's friend, told ITV's Daybreak: "I think there has been a really concerted attempt to block it out and just concentrate on their marriage.

"The church is going to be full of many, many people, a lot of whom they've never met, and they just want to think about themselves and what it means to them."

Mr Bradby, a former royal correspondent, will attend the wedding as a guest.

Mr Bradby said William was determined to protect his fiancee from intrusion into their lives.

"I have really been struck over the last 10 years about how determined he has been to protect," he said.

"He looked at his mother and what happened to her and it didn't take a genius to draw the lessons that he's obviously drawn from it - which is he doesn't want that sort of chaos in his life.

"He's tried to effectively create this iron wall around his friends and his girlfriend.

"You kind of worry for them that this is the moment the world gets let in."

Discussing their engagement interview, "part of the historical record", he said the content was discussed beforehand to avoid it being a repeat of the tense Charles and Diana interview. "I'd forgotten how bad it was, actually. It was absolutely agonisingly awful," he said of it.

Royal wedding: Syrian ambassador has invitation withdrawn

Sami Khiyami (Pic: AFP/Getty Images) Syrian ambassador Sami Khiyami (Pic:Getty)

The Syrian ambassador's invitation to the royal wedding has been withdrawn, the Foreign Office announced today.

With the backing of Buckingham Palace, Foreign Secretary William Hague decided that Sami Khiyami's presence would be "unacceptable" at a time when Britain is at loggerheads with Damascus over the bloody crackdown on protesters against President Bashar Assad.

The invitation had sparked fury, particularly among Labour supporters angry that former prime ministers Tony Blair and Gordon Brown were omitted from the guest list.

But Mr Blair said today he did not mind missing tomorrow's wedding.

Speaking during a visit to Colombia, Mr Blair said it was "not a problem at all" and wished Prince William and Kate Middleton every happiness.

In a statement announcing the withdrawal of Dr Khiyami's invitation, the Foreign Office said: "Representatives of countries with which the UK has normal diplomatic relations have been invited to the wedding.

"An invitation does not mean endorsement or approval of the behaviour of any government, simply that we have normal diplomatic relations with that country.

"In the light of this week's attacks against civilians by the Syrian security forces, which we have condemned, the Foreign Secretary has decided that the presence of the Syrian Ambassador at the Royal Wedding would be unacceptable and that he should not attend.

"Buckingham Palace shares the view of the Foreign Office that it is not considered appropriate for the Syrian Ambassador to attend the wedding."

The Foreign Office statement came soon after former Foreign Secretary Jack Straw intervened in the row, saying the authorities should have found a way to ensure the Syrian ambassador did not attend.

Mr Straw also became the most senior Labour figure to raise questions about the decision not to invite Mr Blair and Mr Brown.

Dr Khiyami's invitation sparked anger because of the bloody crackdown on protests, which are believed to have left as many as 500 civilians dead and even reportedly prompted mass resignations by members of President Assad's ruling party.

Mr Straw said he believed a way could have been found to avoid the attendance of Dr Khiyami, who was summoned to the Foreign Office on Tuesday to receive a dressing-down over his government's handling of protests.

And describing himself as "surprised" that Mr Blair and Mr Brown were not invited, Mr Straw told BBC Radio 4's Today programme: "I certainly think the former prime ministers should have been."

Asked in an interview for Colombian TV whether he was upset not to have been invited to the wedding, Mr Blair responded: "Absolutely not at all."

Mr Blair said he was "delighted" for the royal couple and thought it was "completely sensible" for them to invite people from different walks of life, rather than politicians, to tomorrow's ceremony.

Crown Prince Salman al Khalifa of Bahrain has already pulled out of the wedding because of controversy over the brutal response to demonstrations in his country.

Arthur: How to get the best photos

Over a 30-year career with Britain's biggest-selling newspaper, Arthur has taken thousands of iconic pictures of the Royals ... and documented his fare share of royal weddings.

And tomorrow Arthur will take his place among the wellwishers estimated to be taking a staggering 327 million Royal Wedding-related photos.

So who better to offer Sun readers advice on how to get the best photos of the big day?

Here Arthur, in association with Nikon, offers his top tips on how and where to get that magic shot.

CLICK HERE FOR ARTHUR'S ROUTE MAP OF WHERE TO STAND

1. Get there early and make sure you're in position.

2. Make sure the camera is fully charged and keep it in your hand ready to take a picture.

3. Get as close to the action as you can, but don't worry if you're not front row. Take advantage of the super-zoom cameras on the market, so that even if you feel miles away, you can still get up close to the subject in your photos.

4. Don't be frightened to ask people to move to the left or right in order to get a clearer view.

5. Shoot the best possible quality setting - photos are not just about volume but you also want as high resolution as possible, so you can make quality enlargements later if you want to. Just make sure you have a few memory cards on you.

6. Don't just focus on the Royal couple - there will be numerous other top notch guests around, especially entering and leaving the Abbey.

7. Don't forget to take some crowd shots and pictures of all the venues and, of course, get a picture of yourself there.

8. Make the most of the HD video available on many of the Nikon COOLPIX cameras, and record the sound of the bells at Westminster Abbey and the parade.

9. The route is a lot shorter than the route Charles and Diana took - if you have continuous shooting on your camera then use it, as it could be your best chance of getting a picture of them as they pass by - just make sure you hold it really still. Try steadying your arm against something solid.

10. Be ready for anything - the beauty of being there on the day is that you're ready to capture the unexpected.

Royal wedding: Kate Middleton to walk down the aisle to coronation anthem - listen to I Was Glad

Royal Wedding

Kate Middleton (Pic:AFP/ Getty Images) All eyes will be on Kate Middleton as she marries Prince William tomorrow

Future Queen Kate Middleton will walk up the aisle to the dramatic sounds of a coronation anthem.

Royal wedding music: Listen to Prince William and Kate Middleton's picks for Westminster Abbey service

Her bridal processional music will be the soaring choral masterpiece "I was glad" by Sir Charles Hubert Hastings Parry from Psalm 122.

It was composed for the crowning of Prince William's great-great-great grandfather Edward VII at Westminster Abbey in 1902, but is also popular at weddings.

Its instrumental introduction will allow the bride to take her place at the Great West Door on the green marble memorial stone to Sir Winston Churchill.

As the choir begins to sing, she will begin her three and a half minute procession through the Nave and Quire to meet her Prince on her father's arm.

St Paul's Cathedral choir sing I Was Glad at the Queen's Golden Jubilee

Before Miss Middleton will be an "avenue of trees" made up of six English Field Maples and two Hornbeams - some 20ft tall - with the abbey decorated in white, green and cream foliage.

A St James's Palace spokesman said: "The music will build up before the words begin. It will be quite dramatic. A lot of these pieces have been chosen for their theatre.

"They are stunning pieces of music that fill the Abbey and give a sense of grandeur to the occasion."

The spokesman said The Introit will not be the version used at Coronations, where it is sung as an entrance anthem with additional "Vivat" proclamations.

It was used as The Anthem for the 1981 wedding of Prince William's parents the Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer, but Diana walked up the aisle to The Trumpet Voluntary by Jeremiah Clarke.

Parry's version was revised in 1911 for the coronation of King George V, when the introduction was added.

It also featured in the Queen's coronation in 1953 as she processed through the Nave and Quire to her Chair of Estate.

Parry, said to have composed some of the most moving choral pieces of the Victorian and Edwardian eras, also wrote the music for William Blake's popular hymn Jerusalem and John Milton's Blest Pair of Sirens - both of which feature in William and Kate's ceremony.

The words of "I Was Glad" from Psalm 122: 1-3, 6-7 read: "I was glad when they said unto me: We will go into the house of the Lord.

"Our feet shall stand in thy gates: O Jerusalem.

"Jerusalem is builded as a city: that is at unity in itself.

"O pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

"Peace be within thy walls: and plenteousness within thy palaces."

Israel Rejects Palestinian Govt. With Hamas

Israeli leaders on Thursday rejected the Palestinian unity deal between rivals Hamas and Fatah, saying it could destroy prospects for peace and ruling out negotiations with any Palestinian government that includes the Islamic militant group.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened his security Cabinet to discuss the deal, as Israeli President Shimon Peres called the Palestinian agreement a "grave mistake."

The comments came a day after Hamas and Fatah reached an initial unity deal in Cairo to end a four-year-old dispute that has left the Palestinians with rival governments: a Fatah-dominated administration in the West Bank and the Hamas regime that controls the Gaza Strip. The Palestinians claim both territories for a future independent state.

While the Palestinian announcement did not address many key issues, the Egyptian-brokered deal revived hopes of ending bitter infighting that weakened the Palestinians politically and killed dozens in violent clashes and crackdowns.

The Palestinian plan calls for formation of a joint caretaker government to prepare the way for elections next year. The Palestinians say the move is a step toward independence. With a breakdown in peace talks with Israel, the Palestinians have been campaigning to get the United Nations to recognize Palestinian statehood in September, with or without a peace deal.

By including Hamas — which Israel, the U.S. and European Union consider a terror organization — the Palestinians have essentially ruled out peace negotiations with Israel and have put hundreds of millions of dollars in U.S. and European aid money in jeopardy.

In the West Bank, President Mahmoud Abbas of Fatah, a proponent of peace with Israel, stressed he would retain overall control over foreign policy. He said he remains ready to talk peace with Netanyahu if Israel halts its settlement construction on occupied lands.

Seeking to blunt international criticism, he said the caretaker government would not include Hamas activists.

"The people will be independents, technocrats, not affiliated with any factions," Abbas said at a meeting with a group of dovish Israeli businessmen and retired security chiefs.

Abbas said it was "too early to tell" whether his prime minister, Salam Fayyad, would stay in office. Fayyad, a U.S.-educated economist, is well regarded in the West and has been the major reason the international community now sends nearly $1 billion a year in aid to the Palestinians. Losing Fayyad could endanger that money.

Israel is adamant that it will not engage Hamas, which has sent dozens of suicide bombers and thousands of rockets into the Jewish state and is committed to Israel's destruction.

"We would like to see the Palestinian people unite, but for the sake of peace," said Peres, a Nobel peace laureate. "The world cannot support the establishment of a state that part of its regime is a terror organization."

Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman warned that the Palestinian agreement opens the door to Hamas gaining a foothold in the Fatah-controlled West Bank.

"The significance of the agreement is that terrorists will take hold of the West Bank. Hundreds of terrorists will flood the West Bank and therefore we need to prepare for a different situation," he told the Army Radio station.

Tourist films UFO hovering over Westminster Abbey – site of Royal Wedding

The 2?-minute video footage shows a shimmering white object in a cloudless blue sky near Big Ben.

DOES Dutch tourist's clip mean aliens will be watching Royal Wedding?

It seems to move and shift shape - but to have three sections, like the starship USS Enterprise from TV's Star Trek.

The tourist who posted it on the internet wrote: "First we thought it was a parachute but it was way too high up.

"It changed shape but stayed there for at least 30 minutes. Then I lost sight of it."

The sighting emerged shortly after a retired US Air Force major predicted extra-terrestrials would visit Earth to see Wills and Kate tie the knot.

UFO researcher George Filer said mystery craft were often spotted during major world events.

He claimed he had already been tipped off by RAF pilots about an increasing number of recent sightings over the English Channel.

He added: "They seem to have an interest in anything important."

The Westminster video lasts two minutes and 34 seconds.

British UFO expert Nick Pope, who worked for the Ministry of Defence, said: "I think it should be investigated if it's feared it could be a threat to the Royals."

Royal wedding reception: Ellie Goulding to perform at after dinner party

Ellie Goulding (Pic:Getty) Ellie Goulding

Chart star Ellie Goulding will play for Prince William and Kate Middleton and their guests at the royal wedding reception.

The singer, who had her biggest hit last year with a cover of Sir Elton John's Your Song, will perform at the after dinner party at Buckingham Palace.

Goulding, from Kington in Herefordshire, got her big break when she was tipped as the act to watch last year by industry experts in the BBC Sound of 2010 list.

She also won the Critics' Choice Award at the Brit Awards in the same year.

The singer-songwriter, who learnt to play the guitar as a teenager, dropped out of university to pursue a music career.

Her debut album, Lights, went to straight to number one on its release.

Woman Beheaded in Front of Classmates

Police say that a man armed with a large knife beheaded an 18-year-old woman at her school in front of her horrified classmates in eastern India.

The attacker later told police he was in love with the victim but her parents wouldn't allow them to marry.

Police official Pravin Kumar Singh said Thursday that officers arrested Bijendra Kumar on suspicion of killing Khushbu, who uses only one name. He allegedly attacked her a ceremonial curved weapon called a khukri as she was leaving her classroom Wednesday in the eastern city of Ranchi.

Authorities say the blade sliced her head off and she died instantly. Kumar was quickly mobbed by the other students and handed over to the police. Singh says Kumar told the police that he had also intended to kill himself.

Bishop confirms Kate Middleton

The bride-to-be, 29, had been baptised but was not confirmed, which sees Christians make a firm commitment to their faith.

Kate's service was led by the Bishop of London, the Rt Rev Richard Chartres, who will oversee her big day on April 29.

William and Kate's family were at the private service in St James's Palace.

A royal spokesman added: "Miss Middleton decided to be confirmed as part of her marriage preparations."

Wills, who will be Supreme Governor of the Church of England when he is king, had his confirmation in 1997 when he was 14.

Fry-up for 300 pals at Prince Harry's late party

The 26-year-old and his nightclub owner pal Guy Pelly are overseeing an exclusive party at Buckingham Palace.

After a dinner and speeches the 300 guests will be treated to champagne, cocktails and spirits. And it is understood the caterers have been told to prepare the early-morning sarnies and fry-ups for anyone who is still awake.

The Queen won't be at the Palace - so she's not in the way. She and Prince Philip will reportedly head to Windsor Castle after the afternoon reception for 650 guests.

A source said of the Palace bash: "It won't be for the oldies, but the young ones. Harry has organised a survivors' breakfast. He is determined to make this a night to remember."

Rain predicted for Friday's royal wedding

There is a risk that heavy showers could affect central London and Bucklebury in Berkshire where Kate Middleton grew up, but forecasts could change over the coming days.

Forecaster Helen Rossington said: "At the moment, it is looking like temperatures will probably be a little bit above average (on the day) and there is a risk of heavy showers."

"Temperatures will probably be somewhere in the high teens but it is difficult to pin down so far ahead.

"The weather is always changing, there is that risk that we are seeing on the current outlook that we have at the moment, but nearer the time the models might change a little bit."

Tom Morgan, a spokesman for the Met Office, warned that the royal wedding day would feel much cooler in England and Wales than this bank holiday weekend.

He said: "Generally in the London area there will be fairly cloudy skies with occasional brighter spells, but also a risk of showery rain at times."

"A brisk north-easterly wind will make it feel much chillier than of late."

But he said western England, western Wales, the north of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland were forecast to enjoy a "bright" royal wedding day.

"All of these areas look like they are going to see a bright day with decent sunny spells and pleasant warm temperatures into the mid to high teens," he said.

If it rains, Prince William and Kate Middleton will leave Westminster Abbey in the Glass Coach, rather than the open-top 1902 State Landau.

The forecast comes after much of the country basked in a heatwave this bank holiday with predictions that this month will beat the 2007 record as the warmest ever April.

Many areas of London reached highs of 27C (around 82F) on Saturday with Wisley, Surrey, registering 27.8C.

Yesterday saw cooler weather with a top temperature of 25.3C (around 78F) in Lee-on-the-Solent, Hampshire, and a maximum of 24C (75F) across London.

Irish Traveller couple bid to match Wills and Kate's big day

Not to be outdone by the nation's blue bloods, the Big Fat Gypsy Wedding crowd have staged their own flamboyant "royal" wedding.

The aim was to create the most lavish wedding possible with no expense spared.

True to form it features a billowing bridal gown that will doubtless make Kate Middleton's frock look like a modest petticoat.

Irish travellers Mary and her hubby Paddy, who was too shy to appear on screen, tied the knot last week for a special Channel 4 show to air at 9pm on April 28 - the night before that other wedding somewhat further up the social ladder.

Maybe Kate will watch it herself as she prepares for her own big day.

"I just want to feel like a princess," declared 23-year-old bride Mary as she deliberated over exactly how long her wedding train should be.

She plumped for an extravagant 18ft number, which at 11ft wide was broader than the ivory taffeta and antique lace gown that Princess Diana dragged through the arches of St Paul's Cathedral three decades ago.

And then there were the "decorations", a mere 40,000 individual crystals that turned the snow white gown into a worthy stand-in for the Saturday Night Fever glitterball.

As with its gaudy predecessors, this lorry load of linen was the creation of show dressmaker Thelma Madine - Liverpool's latest household name.

She and her team of seamstresses were tasked with conjuring up a dress that would rival her soon-to-be Royal Highness's in just three weeks.

The gang set about their challenge working day and night to make the monster frock.

Never before had they sewed so many crystals into one dress.

They also had to create two mini versions for Mary's younger sisters, Nikita and Caitlin, who were "mini-brides" for the occasion - a tradition among some Irish travellers.

Her other sister, Margaret, 18, her mum and five bridesmaids also required sugar-pink dresses with crystal-encrusted bodices.

A source describing the scene said: "Poor Thelma and her team were drowning in all this material and sewing on the crystals was painstaking work.

"Most people take months to get weddings sorted but they were under the tightest deadline imaginable.

"Mary was very keen to impress that she should look like a princess on her big day.

"She spoke about Kate Middleton and how she wanted her wedding to be just as showy as she imagined Kate's would be.

"It's fair to say this was one of Thelma's toughest ever briefs."

Many travellers like to say that their appetite for flamboyant wedding frocks stems from Princess Di's ?9,000 Elizabeth Emanuel wedding dress - a thought that would probably amuse the late People's Princess.

Of course a gypsy wedding is not all about the dress, despite their gargantuan sizes.

Mary wore a crystal-encrusted tiara and carried a bouquet of white roses entwined in ribbon and covered with - you guessed it - more crystals.

And no princess is complete without her carriage, which came in the shape of a Katie Price-style bubble coach, in white.

Six horses (also white) were charged with delivering the bride to the wedding venue - and they certainly earned their keep.

The dress was so enormous Mary was a little lost inside. Margaret travelled ahead with the bridesmaids in a stretched limo to the venue - the Wood Green Animal Shelters "set in 52 acres of picturesque Cambridgeshire countryside".

She filled the chief bridesmaid role, just as Kate's sister Pippa will at the Royal Wedding.

And, as Kate is rumoured to be doing herself, Mary was late. A whole hour late. Poor old Paddy, also 23, was left fretting at the altar.

Again, as Kate will be forced to endure, TV cameras followed the couple's every "I Do" and "promise to love and cherish" and they emerged to huge applause from locals and fellow travellers. Pride of place at the reception was a gigantic cake that was a replica of her horses and carriage and matched Mary's dress for sheer extravagance.

Made by the same firm that toiled over the Disney castle cake featured in the hit series screened earlier this year, it was not without its problems.

As accustomed as the venue was to dealing with wedding cakes, it struggled to find a table big enough.

An eye-witness said: "There was a huge panic as this thing was absolutely enormous. It took two men to lift and it looked as though it was going to have to sit on the floor as there were no tables big enough.

"Fortunately the traveller community are nothing if not resourceful and a makeshift podium was created from three trestle tables."

It was all in a day's work for the Animal Shelter though, whose day job is finding homes for 5,500 lost and unwanted animals each year.

A spokesman said: "We pulled out all of the stops to ensure Wood Green looked absolutely stunning on the day.

"All of the staff involved worked tremendously hard to ensure the bride, groom and their families had a great time."

Buckingham Palace courtiers take note - don't scrimp on the trestle tables when Kate and Will retreat to the Queen's 306-year-old gaff after their nuptials.

Mary and Paddy, who have been with each other for three years, have already settled on their marital home - a caravan in their hometown of Peterborough. And they have committed themselves to a life of travel.

A show source said: "It really was a dream come true for Mary. She and Paddy might not have the millions that Kate and Wills have at their disposal.

"But they made the best of what they had and it was a day that they will cherish for ever."

It's 'You and I' for Wills and Kate

George, 47, revealed the choice of romancing favourite You and I on US television this morning after weeks of speculation - and described Wills' future wife as a "cracker".

After laying down the track the ex-Wham! frontman- a close friend of Princess Di - returned to the studio to have another bash to "make it even more romantic".

The song will be free to download but George is encouraging fans to donate to Wills and Kate's charity fund which will share the proceeds among a range of good causes.

George told Piers Morgan's CNN show that Wonder has also waived the rights to the song until "way after the wedding".

George said he had heard via a mutual friend that the track has the seal of approval from Buckingham Palace.

He said he was "incredibly happy" for the couple.

"I am absolutely sure Diana would have loved the whole thing. I really hope she would have loved this track.

"I have a feeling she would have done."

Earlier, George told his Twitter followers: "It's going to break your heart!"

He added: "I want Will and Kate to know that this a genuine gift, not a promo exercise."

The singer, jailed last year for crashing while high, has insisted he isn't angling for a wedding invitation with the unique offering and isn't attending on April 29.

He said on Twitter the couple should be with "people they love, not dodgy ex-con pop stars".

George was handed an eight-week prison sentence last year after crashing his Land Rover while under the influence of cannabis.
