Bea glitters at pre-wedding ball

The flame-haired daughter of Prince Andrew and the Duchess of York stole the show in a white and silver dress covered in sequins.

Her sister Eugenie also looked fetching in a black Vivienne Westwood dress with sparkly bow detail.

Royals from across Europe and the Middle East attended the reception at the Mandarin Hotel in Hyde Park.

Prince Charles and Camilla missed the dinner but attended a drinks reception beforehand.

Instead they dined with Prince William at Clarence House, their official London home.

Less than a minute's drive away, Kate Middleton was with her family at the exclusive Goring Hotel in Belgravia.

Royal guests arrived through the five-star Mandarin Hotel's back entrance, overlooking Hyde Park and hundreds of eager waiting fans.

The Queen was fashionably late, appearin in a long lilac dress with silver swirls as she was greeted by her cousin Lady Anson with a kiss on both cheeks outside the hotel.

Earlier, the Princess Royal arrived by minibus along with Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall, and Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly.
