Bishop confirms Kate Middleton

The bride-to-be, 29, had been baptised but was not confirmed, which sees Christians make a firm commitment to their faith.

Kate's service was led by the Bishop of London, the Rt Rev Richard Chartres, who will oversee her big day on April 29.

William and Kate's family were at the private service in St James's Palace.

A royal spokesman added: "Miss Middleton decided to be confirmed as part of her marriage preparations."

Wills, who will be Supreme Governor of the Church of England when he is king, had his confirmation in 1997 when he was 14.
