Royal weddings of the past

The excitement gathering around Westminster Abbey and the Palace is already palpable and for many young royal fans this will be their first royal wedding.

But what of the thrill of the royal couples that went before them?

Here we take a look at sensational archive pictures of the royal wedding days Britain has enjoyed over the last 100 years.
