Kate Middleton snaps up discount panties for honeymoon with Prince William

The half-price "Brazilian-style" lacy briefs were part of another pre-wedding shopping trip for the thrifty bride-to-be.

The Sun has posed a model in the sexy knickers, below, to give Prince William a sneak preview.

Kate, 29, also bought two bikinis at the same shop - pointing to a sun-drenched honeymoon.

One shopper said: "I certainly didn't expect her to be browsing at the bottom end of the range."

A shop assistant said: "She was much more beautiful than I imagined and really lovely."

Kate's red-faced Royal protection officers waited outside as she browsed for smalls at lingerie store Goldenpoint in London's King's Road on Tuesday.

Yesterday she returned to the street in West London's Chelsea, for MORE underwear, just nine days before her wedding on April 29.

She trawled the lingerie department of Sloane favourite Peter Jones and picked up two Calvin Klein bras for around ?30 each - one black and one nude.

In the department store she also bagged a pair of sunglasses for her trip - even though they were the tester pair tried on by hundreds of people before her.

A source said: "Kate fell in love with the sunglasses but they were the last pair and had been sitting on the rack for ages.

"She said it didn't matter if people had worn them before, she liked them too much.

At High Street chain Whistles Kate had to swap a pair of ?150 blue-and-while spotty trousers in her usual size 10 - because she has dropped to a tiny size 8 in her pre-wedding weeks.

While paying for the trousers and two tops at the till she told staff they were for her honeymoon.

One assistant said: "She's so skinny, she's lost so much weight. But she's so lovely and was very polite. Wow, it's not every day the future queen of England pops in."

As well as all her new purchases, Kate will need something old for her wedding - and The Sun can reveal the bride will be wearing her late grandmother Dorothy's diamond-and-pearl earrings for the ceremony.

Party-loving best man Prince Harry has vowed he will not touch a drink until the evening of the wedding.

A royal source said: "Harry is taking his role extremely seriously. Everyone knows he loves a party but he has said he won't drink at all during the dinner to make sure his speech is perfect."

Harry will make up for it with one final night out with Wills and pals before the big day.

DAVID Cameron WILL wear a morning suit to the wedding after claims he would buck tradition in a lounge suit to look less of a toff.

THE 600,000 spectators expected at the Mall will be treated to show tunes, pop songs and sing-a-longs by the Band Of The Coldstream Guards.
